The Fellowship in Dispensing Optics is a specialized training program designed to develop advanced knowledge and practical skills in spectacle dispensing, ophthalmic lens technology, frame selection, and patient-centered optical care. The curriculum covers ophthalmic lens materials, lens designs and coatings, progressive addition lenses, frame fitting and adjustments, facial measurements, optical dispensing techniques, prescription analysis, quality assurance, patient counseling, and the latest innovations in dispensing optics. Fellows receive extensive hands-on training in optical laboratories and clinical settings, ensuring proficiency in delivering personalized optical solutions. The program also emphasizes communication skills, professional ethics, inventory management, customer service, and the effective use of modern dispensing instruments and digital technologies. Through practical training and case-based learning, participants develop the confidence to manage complex dispensing requirements and contribute to high-quality eye care services. - Candidates with a Diploma in Optometry, B.Sc. Optometry, from a recognized institution are eligible to apply, subject to the admission requirements of the institution.
