The Diploma in Operation Theatre Assistance (OTA) is a professional healthcare program designed to train students in the safe and efficient management of operation theatre services. The program equips students with the knowledge and practical skills required to assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing professionals before, during, and after surgical procedures.
The curriculum includes anatomy and physiology, microbiology, medical terminology, operation theatre technology, surgical instrumentation, sterilization and infection control, anesthesia assistance, patient positioning, biomedical waste management, emergency care, and operating room protocols. Students receive extensive hands-on training in modern operation theatres under the guidance of experienced healthcare professionals.
