The Fellowship in Clinical Optometry is an advanced clinical training program designed to enhance clinical expertise and gain specialized skills in comprehensive eye care. The fellowship emphasizes evidence-based practice, advanced diagnostic techniques, patient management, and interdisciplinary collaboration with ophthalmologists. The program provides intensive hands-on clinical training in comprehensive eye examinations, advanced refraction, binocular vision assessment, contact lens practice, ocular disease evaluation, low vision rehabilitation, pediatric optometry, glaucoma screening, retinal assessment, and pre- and post-operative care. Fellows are trained in the use of advanced ophthalmic diagnostic instruments and are encouraged to participate in case discussions, clinical audits, seminars, and research activities. The curriculum is structured to strengthen clinical decision-making, communication skills, and professional ethics, enabling fellows to deliver high-quality, patient-centered eye care in diverse healthcare settings. Upon successful completion, fellows will be well-prepared to pursue advanced clinical practice in multispecialty eye hospitals, specialty care centers, academic institutions, research organizations, and private optometric practice.
