She has completed her basic medical training of MBBS and MS ophthalmology at Goa medical college Bambolim. She has completed her Zeiss medical retina fellowship from Sankara Nethralaya Chennai under guidance of Dr Muna Bhende. Further she completed her fellowship in surgical retina at Sankara Nethralaya Chennai.
She has completed her short term fellowship in phacoemulsification at Shri Ganesh Vinayak Hospital Raipur.
She has gained experience in treating diverse retinal conditions during her tenure as consultant Vitreoretinal surgeon at Aravind eye hospital Coimbatore.
She has co-authored Atlas of ophthalmic ultrasound and ultrasound biomicroscopy.
She has written several chapters in surgical retina books.
She has published on topics of endophthalmitis and choroiditis in peer reviewed journals.
She is presently working as consultant -vitreoretina at Sreenethra eye care.
